Mami was able to hold control over Mitakihara for years by herself, a feat that has gained her a legendary reputation even as far as America. Over those years, she had many students, including Sakura Kyouko, Kazuza Michiru, Gaikotsu Masami, and Kagome Ayaka.

Mami invited Sabrina to stay at her apartment when she learned we had nowhere else to stay. After learning that Kyubey had been lying to her about being her friend, she became desperate to keep her remaining friends. Sabrina has gone to great lengths to try to ease Mami out of this mindset, pushing her to have closer relationships with the rest of the White Ribbon Group, as well as Madoka and Hitomi.
